Happy September!! Did someone say Oreo Donuts, yum! My boys love donuts and I found these amazing pans for us to bake donuts at home in 20 minutes!! Here is a fun chocolate donuts with creamy Oreo topping!

First, you need to make the chocolate donuts. You’re going to need the following: flour, brown sugar, salt, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla extract, an egg, butter, and milk. I used almond milk for these donuts, because my boys have a cows protein allergy but you can use whole, skim, reduced fat, or soy will all do the job.
For the Chocolate Donuts:

- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder, sifted
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large egg, at room temperature
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup almond milk (any milk will work)
Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting:

- 8 ounces cream cheese, very soft
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 and 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted, more as needed
- 2-4 tablespoons almond milk (any milk will work)
- 1 to 2 cup Oreo cookies, chopped, for decorating (my boys favorite part)
Instructions
Chocolate Donuts:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).
- Spray donut pans and set aside
- Mix together all the dry ingredients and in a separate bowl, mix together wet ingredients.
- Gently pour the wet into the dry bowl and fold ingredients together (don’t over mix).
- Spoon mixture into prepared donut pan, and bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly pressed. Be careful not to over bake here!
- Allow doughnuts to cool a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
With a hand mixer, in a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract until fully smooth. This part took about 90 seconds. On low, slowly add sifted powder. Add in the milk and beat frosting on medium-high for 1-2 minutes.
Assembly the Fun Part:

Spreading the frosting on top of each donut is so much fun. Don’t forget to sprinkle a few teaspoons of chopped Oreo’s.
It’s very easy to make, the kids will have so much fun making it. If you try this recipe, don’t forget to tag @mamabaydoun. Love to see all your fun creations.
