Spider Slider

Halloween is around the corner and I have two picky eaters. Here is a fun recipe that only is less than 25 minutes to make!!

Ingredients

  • Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (24 count)
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 onions (2 white & 1 red)
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning (around 1/3 cup, I sprinkle and mix till I can’t smell the ground beef, and it smells more like the ranch)
  • Flat Tater Tots
  • French Fries
  • Ketchup
  • Sliced Black Olives

Instructions

Pre-Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Season the ground beef with Hidden Valley. We buy our meat in bulk from Saad Wholesale Meat, I food save them and freeze in 1 to 2 pound bags. Therefore, I had to thaw my meat first. Add the seasoning to your preference, I like to keep adding till I don’t smell the meat anymore.

Lay a baking pad or parchment paper on a large cookie sheet. Flatten the meat. Don’t forget, it will shrink up, I like to make the meat about 2 inches larger on each side than the roll package. Bake for 13 minutes.

In the mean time, chop and saute the onions with some olive oil. I like to use red and white onions to add more flavor. Grab the rolls, cut if you got the uncut ones, and lay the bottom piece on a new cookie sheet with a baking pad. By this time the meat should be done, cut it up in to 24 pieces and add them to the bottom of the buns. Add the onions on some or all. My little guy is picky and doesn’t like onions so I left some off. Add the cheese and top of the bun. Bake the sliders at 400 degrees for 5-7 minutes (depending how crispy you like them).

While the meat was baking, I added some tots and french fries to our Ninja Foodie Grill. I cannot express how amazing this machine is. I air crisped the tots and fries at 390 degrees for 12 minutes. When the sliders are done, add six fries to each slider, three on each side for the legs. Put a dot of ketchup on each tot for the eyes and add a black olive to each.

There you do, Spider Sliders! This is a super easy and fun dinner idea for around Halloween Time. My boys were super happy and stuffed! Enjoy! Check out my Jack-O-Lantern Pizza Dinner, too.
